Using its experienced and dedicated engineers, the company undertakes work for a wide client base predominantly specialising in high voltage AC / DC railway traction system commissioning / testing and equipment entry into service.
WJ Project Services Ltd is well known to Network Rail for the successful delivery of the Autotransformer (AT) systems on the North West Electrification Phase 1, West Coast Mainline and Thameslink Projects. We have a wealth of experience in Tester in Charge engineering roles. We have Level A, B and C engineers for AC and DC distribution systems who have undertaken system test responsibility taking control of Overhead Line infrastructure, carrying our system testing and entering new feeding arrangements into service. Works in the Southern 33kV and DC systems have led to us undertaking significant upgrade works of new substations and intake supplies.
We have built a reputation for on time and successful delivery of project works to high standards. Our engineers work nationally on projects ranging from new substation installations to carrying out modification and maintenance works on existing systems.
Specialist areas of works include HV / LV system testing, section proving, protection testing, SCADA configuration, works on AC/DC systems, autotransformer schemes, Electrical Control Room interface testing and testing of National Grid / Railway cross boundary schemes.
To complement the on site technical engineering, we are able to produce all supporting test documentation for the implementation, commissioning, and handback phases of a project.
